
TURKEY BACON SANDWICH WITH PESTO HUMMUS
- 2 pieces Ciabatta bread
- A handful of fresh Arugula
- 5 oz. fresh sliced turkey meat
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/2 white onion, caramelized
- 4 slices crispy bacon
- 1 1/2 tablespoon basil pesto
- 2 oz. homemade garlic hummus
- Mix the basil pesto with your homemade garlic hummus and spread onto a piece of the Ciabatta bread.
- Add sliced turkey, Arugula, crispy bacon, caramelized onion, and avocado.
- Put it all together and enjoy!
- 1 can rinsed, peeled chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
- 1 clove fresh garlic
- 1 1/2 extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/8 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Add chickpeas, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, cumin, water, salt, and paprika to a food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.
